There are lots of bars and cafes in Mijas, scattered all around the town and on almost every corner. In Mihas it’s safe to say you’ll never be far from somewhere to eat or drink. Cafeteria Bella Vista

The Bella Vista is located close to the main bus stop in the centre of town. You can’t really miss it because of its bright orange seats. It’s open day and night and serves excellent savoury empanadas and arguably the best cakes in town.
Bar Meguinez

Bar Meguinez is best described as bohemian, combining the very best of old Spain with avant-garde styling. It’s open throughout the day and evening. Here you’ll find a menu of tapas, raciones and sandwiches and probably the largest selection of wine in the district. There are two separate seating areas in the bar, and a small number of tables outside on the narrow cobbled street.

Aroma serves pizza, pasta, tapas and crepes. It’s a friendly and welcoming establishment with a lively atmosphere. It’s open all day and in the evening and occasionally hosts live music and local exhibitions of the work of regional artists. There’s seating inside and out, and a patio at the rear.
Bar Gonzalez

Bar Gonzalez is a very popular and crowded bar serving tapas and full menu all day and into the late evening. The menu del dia is very popular and it offers a range of regional specialities and serves some of Mihas’ most delicious soups.
Bar Arana

Bar Arana is the best place in town for churros & chocolate. The bar is only open during the day and is always busy for good reason. Inside there is standing room only, though there are places to sit outside. The bar is ideally located and also serves tapas, sandwiches and fresh juice.
Peña Barcelonista

As the name suggests, Peña Barcelonista is the Barcelona supporter’s bar. The bar remains open throughout the day and evening. It has a lively atmosphere and always has a large and diverse menu. The bar also serves take away pizza and kebabs. Inside the bar the walls are covered with Barcelona memorabilia and there are two large screens to watch the games. Outside, there is also a separate covered terrace for those who aren’t overly keen on watching the football.
Cafe Porras

Café Porras is open all day. Centrally situated beside the museum and church, Cafe Porras is a great place to watch the world go by. The cafe is always busy and offers a full menu of local and regional dishes, though seafood is its real speciality.
Bar La Gambas

La Gambas is a very friendly bar with excellent food and reasonable prices. It’s open during the day and in the evenings. Specialities include local wild rabbit and paella. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the bar is quite popular with locals. Additional seating is available upstairs in the terrace with a vine ceiling.
Oscar Tapas Bar

Oscars Tapas Bar is open both day and night. Oscars serves a good selection of tapas dishes, and is famous for its chorizo in red wine and paella. Oscars is very popular even though it is not the easiest place to find. There is also a kid’s play area inside so it’s perfect for families.
