Those of you who are quite tech savvy will know what I mean when I say that drones are all the rage. Amazon are threatening to use them for delivery in the USA, restaurants in South Korea are now sending food out to tables using them, one even bypassed the Whitehouse security landed on Barak Obama’s doorstep last week, they really are the boy’s toy to be seen with at the moment and they are also great fun!
Things have moved on considerably from the radio controlled helicopters of yesteryear that no one could really control and used to crash and burn into the sofa after a few days.
Drones can be used for a number different things, but the most common use of a drone these days is to take good quality, overhead photos of absolutely anything you wish. Photos that are simply not attainable if you are taking them standing with your feet squarely on the ground.
A few of our property owners (and myself) have now bought drones and we are now beginning to see a smattering of Drone aerial photos appearing on our website which is great news and a fantastic way to show off our villas from a new angle.
The drone I went for is a Phantom 2 Vision Plus Quadrocopter and although I am merely a beginner and results have a way to go, this is a stunning piece of kit with which I shall pass many a childish hour and thoroughly recommended for your next major birthday or Christmas present.
In the meantime, If you know a friend who has a drone who can spare you an hour, take some aerial photos of your holiday home and the surrounding area. You and holidaymakers viewing your villa online will be blown away, it really does give a totally new perspective!
