When holidaymakers choose Florida, and Orlando/Kissimmee in particular, as their holiday destination, they tend to land up and spend the next few weeks trekking around the World famous theme parks, shopping in designer outlet malls, eating in diners and generally living the life of a tourist in one of the most popular holiday destinations on the planet. It is completely understandable to do this as there is so much to see in a relatively short space of time. If you are going to venture further afield, take my advice and head to Miami.

Al Capone’s Dinner and Show
If you are staying in Kissimmee, Florida and you want something different to do then I can highly recommend a trip to Al Capone’s Dinner and Show. Located on Highway 192, just near to the huge Target supermarket, this show transports you to 1930s Gangland Chicago.
Area Focus: Veranda Palms
Having visited Florida a number of times I feel like I have pretty much seen all I want to see in terms of theme parks, dinner shows and fireworks of an evening. That’s why I decided to try something a little bit different on my latest trip and go to a rodeo. Rodeos are not really associated with the relaxed southern way of life in Florida, you are far more likely to run into a cowboy in Texas, but it seems there is still a strong network of bull riding, lasso wielding cowboys down in Kissimmee.
