Tuzla is a quiet area and although there is plenty to do around the site and beaches are accessible we do recommend you hire a car for getting around there are buses that go into Bodrum if you wish to go further afield or do not like the idea of driving.
If like our family you have saved for the past year for that all important summer holiday and if your looking for culture, relaxation, touring or simply a good time you will find it in Turkey in abundance. The Bodrum Peninsula is well placed for so many activities that you don’t have time to get bored and kids will be kept entertained.
If there is one trip you do when on holiday choose this one – a day spent cruising around the Aegean Sea off Bodrum on a traditional boat. It’s a great day out for all the family or like us a group of 4 girls.
The kids discovered from the tour shop adverts that there was a water park nearby so it was ‘’can we go pleassse’’ The guy at Haven Tours explained it was nearby and a good day out for the kids; we could either drive ourselves, get the bus or take a tour. The tour offered a pick up around 10 drop back at 4pm however being independent and having a car we decided to go ourselves as it was only 15 minutes away from Yalikavak in the next town of Ortakent (nearby Kipa / Tesco). So we headed off to Dedeman Aquapark…
We had arranged a private transfer with Boomerang from the airport and decided we would see how it went without a car and hire one later if need be. We thought we would see how it was getting around in Yalikavak without a car.
