El Coto on the Costa del Sol is a small commercial area that services the nearby Urbanisations of El Coto, La Sierrezuela and the area of Campo Mijas. For those holidaymakers who have chosen a holiday Villa, Townhouse or Apartment in these areas this is the ideal place for you to pick up all your essentials and enjoy a variety of bars and restaurants without having to venture too far from your holiday home.
All your essentials and more can be picked up at the El Coto supermarket. This is a small store but has virtually everything you need for a self catering stay. It has its own fresh fruit and vegetable stall and butchers. The butchers has a wide range of meats and is the best place to pick up your mincemeat for your homemade Burgers to throw on the BBQ whilst the chorizo from nearby Ronda is spectacular. You can pick up all your wines, lagers, spirits, water and soft drinks, so if you have a last minute emergency when you realise you drank everything the night before you are just a few minutes walk from being able to replenish your store. There is a good refrigerated area with fresh milk, cheese, yoghurts and cold meats.
There are plenty of tinned foods, cereals, pastas, rice, bread, chocolates, biscuits, baby wipes, toilet rolls etc etc. The store really does have enough to keep you going whatever your needs. It is open from 8a.m to 2p.m and then again from 5p.m to 9p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
There is a fabulous bakery from which to pick up your freshly baked bread and the most incredible pastries and cakes. It is even open on a Sunday so you can indulge every day of the week.
The Chemists is very useful and stocks all your toiletries and medicines. The staff all speak English and are very helpful.
There is a, take away pizza shop that also does home delivery, just pick up one of their cards and keep it in your villa.
There is a useful Taxi rank in the middle of El Coto along with a handy notice board that tells you how much it will cost to get to your destination. The bus stop is also here and the bus route will take you straight down into Fuengirola.
A good choice of bars and Restaurants are on offer including El Brujo restaurant, El Coto bar and cafe, La Luna Restaurant, Cafe Lito and The Palace of India restaurant.
If you are looking for a friendly, relaxing and welcoming area to socialise with family and friends during your holiday then you will not be disappointed with your visits into El Coto.
