If you’re one of the many golf-loving British holiday makers heading for the Costa del Sol this summer for a villa holiday, then the resort of Benahavis might just be the ideal destination for you. Situated close to Marbella and lying between Ronda and Estepona, the mountain village of Benahavis is idyllic. It has every facility you’ll ever need, great food, spectacular views and is within a 5 minute drive of the coast. Best of all, Benahavis is currently home to 12 of the Costa del Sol’s finest golf courses, though that number will soon expand to 15. Benahavis truly is a golfer’s paradise.
Okay shopping on Holiday is not everyone’s idea of the best way to spend your sunshine time but for those who need their fix of retail therapy then the Parque Miramar Shopping Centre Fuengirola, Malaga on the Costa del Sol is the number one destination. The Parque Miramar shopping centre has it all and more.
Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
Playa Blanca is Lanzarote’s third largest, and arguably it’s most upmarket resort. Located on the south of the island it is famed for its peacefulness and its fantastic beaches. Although peaceful, Playa Blanca certainly has enough to keep the whole family entertained with great restaurants, plenty of shops and fantastic recreational areas.
We have just returned from a hard morning’s shopping in Bodrum and although trawling through the hustle and bustle of the shopping streets and strolling around the beautiful marina and harbour front are thoroughly enjoyable occupations, by midday on a hot May morning (32 degrees actually!) as we head back home to Yalikavak thoughts are definitely turning to cold beer and warm food in a tranquil setting.
Most people associate Mijas and Costa del Sol with Golf, however there are many more interests available.
