Casares – Places to visit in Costa del Sol

casares-costa-del-solThey say there’s more to life than sitting around a pool. Well, that’s easy to say, but most people find it very hard to tear themselves away from the pool at their holiday villa, especially when the Costa del Sol sunshine is beating down on them. Who can blame them really? The Costa climate is perfect for lazing around in and relaxing.

Ronda – Places to visit on Costa del Sol

Most people visiting Andalusia and the Costa del Sol go for one thing, and one thing only, and that’s for the fabulous climate and the year-round sunshine. However, not everyone will be content with simply basking in the sunshine by the pool at their holiday villa. Some people are more adventurous, and like to get a broader feel for the area they’re visiting. Well Andalusia and the Costa del Sol will not disappoint. They are all sorts of places to visit if you’re looking for a change of scene: some are well known, others slightly off the beaten path. First up, why not have a drive to the lovely Andalusian town of Ronda in the Spanish province of Malaga?

I’ll save those until I can go with my nieces and see the excitement on their little faces! I am, however still partial to the odd ride on a rollercoaster and I’d heard that Busch Gardens was the place to go if you wanted to scare yourself stupid on massive rides!

I had done the Disney World thing as a child and had fond memories of rides on Space Mountain, wearing my plastic Disney mac in the pouring rain and meeting Goofy at the ‘Disney Breakfast Meet.’ I was hoping this trip might be a little different…I draw the line at wearing Mickey Mouse ears and sporting a Simpsons bum bag for 2 weeks! I was hoping for some Florida sunshine and relaxation. I couldn’t stand the weather at home any longer! So how was the journey over to the States going to be 20 years on…
