Los Boliches is wonderful part of the Fuengirola coastline on the Costa Del Sol. Whilst it may not have the glamour and glitz of its neighbouring towns of Marbella and Puerto Banus where designer shops, fashion boutiques and silver service dining are the expected norm, it does have a charm and vibrancy that will see you coming back time and time again.
Los Boliches, is sandwiched between the main resorts of Fuengirola and Benalmadena and whilst not as big as these well known resorts it has enough to offer the holidaymaker to stand on its own two feet.
Los Boliches has a fantastic stretch of Sandy Beach that offers numerous restaurants that sit directly on the beach where you can hire a sun bed for around 5 Euros for the day. You can then receive waiter service for your food and drinks or if you fancy a rest from the sun you can go up to the restaurant and take a table where you can look out across the Mediterranean or watch the action on the beach volleyball courts.
This section of the coastline is far less crowded and indeed the parking is free rather than being on a meter like the busier sections of the Fuengirola coast. There is still plenty of opportunity to people watch but you don’t have other beach lovers sharing your towel.
If the order of the day is keeping the children entertained and not spending too much money on dining out then Los Boliches is ideal. There are two superb supermarkets for you to take advantage of. They are not huge but they stock everything you need for a successful day down at the beach. Food and drink is aplenty, with freshly baked bread and plenty of sandwich fillings to make a picnic on the beach a great option. There is also lots of choice for toys, inflatable’s and sports equipment to make sure there is plenty to do whether it be on the beach or in the sea.
If after a hectic day down on the beach or you have headed out looking for an early evening meal then you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding a restaurant, cafe or bar. The frontline strip of Los Boliches does not have as many eateries or bars as its more well known counterparts but this is more than made up for with the wealth of variety that is provided just two streets back. Here you will find a multitude of quaint Taverna’s and Tapas restaurants interspersed with bars of all descriptions.
You will be assured of warm and friendly welcome wherever you go. No matter what you feel like eating or drinking there will be an establishment to take care of your craving. To top it all of you will find that the prices are considerably kinder to the wallet when compared with other regions. If you are looking for value for money in a relaxed atmosphere where enjoyment is the watchword then Los Boliches in Fuengirola is just for you.
